On August 20, 2020, Russian opposition figure and anti-corruption activist Alexei Navalny was hospitalized after being poisoned with the nerve agent "Novichok." His condition worsened dramatically during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow, putting his life in danger. After the plane made an emergency landing in Omsk, the unconscious Navalny was rushed to the hospital, and two days later he was transferred to the Charité hospital in Berlin, Germany. During his recovery, the near-fatal Navalny teamed up with a group of journalists to investigate the murder attempt against him. This film won the Audience Award for U.S. Documentary Competition and the Audience Award at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival.
