During the reign of Emperor Xizong of the Ming Dynasty, the eunuch Wei Zhongxian plotted treachery and framed loyal officials. The heroes of the Donglin Party, led by Gu Xiancheng, intended to present the "Sheepskin Secret Scroll" to Emperor Xizong. However, the plan failed, and many loyal officials were killed by Wei, with only Gu Xiancheng's youngest daughter, Xiaoyun, escaping with the "Sheepskin Secret Scroll" into the water, seeking refuge with Qian Yuanwai. Qian Yuanwai, driven by greed, intended to report to the Eastern Depot but was discovered by his young daughter Lingling and his son Xiaopang, who informed Xiaoyun. Fortunately, a mysterious Taoist known as "The Unidentifiable Man" flew in to rescue Xiaoyun, also stealing the "Sheepskin Secret Scroll" from Qian Yuanwai. He then placed Xiaoyun in a dilapidated temple. In the temple, a little beggar named Shitou disguised Xiaoyun as a beggar girl to search for other descendants of loyal officials in the marketplace. Xiaoyun and Shitou befriended mischievous children Xiaodouzi and Xitichong. When they found themselves in a hopeless situation, a wild Taoist secretly guided them with "Flying Leaf Messages" to seek refuge in Shaolin Temple. Upon arriving at the temple gate, they encountered another orphan of loyal officials, Gao Tianpeng. The Shaolin Temple, considering the children's plight, made an exception to accept them as disciples, with Master Qingcao leading them. One day, Xiaoyun accompanied the lay disciples of Shaolin Temple to practice swordsmanship, but was recognized by assassins under Wei Zhongxian, leading to a fierce battle where the mysterious Taoist helped Master Zhishan repel the assassins. After receiving the news, Wei Zhongxian ordered a siege of Shaolin Temple. Master Qingcao and Zhishan escorted the children out of the temple to hide. The abbot was captured as a hostage. To save the abbot, Xiaoyun secretly descended the mountain and fell into a heavy encirclement. Just when Xiaoyun was about to succumb, the Taoist, the eccentric monk, and his junior sisters Qingqing and Miaomiao arrived to assist in the battle. The Taoist died in battle, and Xiaoyun, shot by a poisoned arrow, fell into a well and perished. Before her death, Xiaoyun entrusted the "Sheepskin Secret Scroll" to Zhishan. The eccentric monk protected Zhishan, Qingqing, and Miaomiao as they broke through the encirclement. By this time, Master Qingcao had also been killed by an expert from the Eastern Depot. Uncle Wu Huishi from Shaolin Temple led Zhishan and others to the ancient cave at Ganfo Cliff, using the mysteries left by the past Shaolin masters to eliminate Wei Zhongxian's pursuing subordinates one by one. Wei Zhongxian, possessing invulnerable skills from childhood, forced them into a dead end. Zhishan and Miaomiao realized there was a secret in the cave and managed to unleash Master Xinming from the wax seal. Master Xinming, using the true essence of his cultivation, performed a full power strike to break Wei Zhongxian's invulnerable skill, ultimately dying from the depletion of his vitality but saving the descendants of the loyal officials and the young sprouts of Shaolin.
