American man Tom (James Alofs) marries a Chinese girl named Ling and lives a dependent life with Ling's mother, Mrs. Peng (Ge Zhaomei). Tom and Ling have always had a close relationship, but unfortunately, Ling passes away at a young age, leaving behind a grieving husband and a despairing mother. Ling's death takes away all of Tom's hope, until one day, at an exhibition, Tom meets a girl named Bobo. Bobo bears a striking resemblance to Ling, which becomes the main attraction for Tom.
