Police officer Han Jong-sik (played by Kim Sung-kyu) is known for his ruthless methods. In order to solve cases, he frequently arrests and detains innocent people, leading to his wife's death. To provide his critically ill daughter Min-ji (played by Kim Sae-ron) with a heart transplant, Han Jong-sik accepts bribes and arrests magician Ro Sang-wan (played by Son Byung-ho) as a murderer at the request of the briber. Ro Sang-wan meets other innocent victims of Han Jong-sik's wrongful imprisonment in prison, but he does not prepare for revenge against Han Jong-sik under their persuasion. Meanwhile, Ro Sang-wan's wife and daughter outside of prison suffer discrimination and live in hardship. Two years later, new evidence emerges proving Ro Sang-wan's innocence, but at that moment, he receives news of his wife and daughter's death. Despairing, Ro Sang-wan decides to take revenge on Han Jong-sik. At the same time, the heart of Ro Sang-wan's brain-dead wife becomes the source for Min-ji's transplant...
