An American action film about a mute young man living in the shadow of his brother's death at the hands of their father. Upon learning that his father is out of prison, he embarks on a path of patricide, ultimately leading to a tragic showdown where father and son end up destroying each other. The ending is somewhat heroic, capturing a punk ethos of defiance in the face of death. Just before the protagonist nearly chokes his father to death, the father utters "I love you," momentarily softening the protagonist, revealing a deep-seated lack of affection.
