In early spring, vacationer Taeko (played by Satomi Kobayashi) flies to a small island town in the south. At her lodging hotel, she meets a group of people: the hotel owner Yuji (played by Ken Mitsuishi), who has a dog named after him, the always-smiling shaved ice expert Sakura (played by Masako Natsukawa) who wears glasses, the university teacher Haruna (played by Mihiko Ichikawa) who isn't a guest but often hangs around, and the young man Aiko (played by Ryo Kase) who comes looking for Taeko. The five of them, all wearing glasses, participate in strange morning exercises by the sea every day, followed by breakfast together...
