Tan Cheng (played by Tan Junying), the owner of the "Disc in Disc" video store, is a gentle man, while Zhao Yingshin (played by Zhao Rong), a career-driven woman, is a strong and decisive figure. Both of them are at the age for marriage discussions; however, Tan Cheng has just experienced emotional setbacks as his girlfriend moved on to marry a classmate, and Zhao Yingshin, despite her constant blind dates, has yet to find someone she wants to spend her life with. During a singles party, Zhao Yingshin intentionally approaches Tan Cheng to annoy her boyfriend. After getting drunk, she is taken back to the hotel by the kind-hearted Tan Cheng. Upon waking up, Zhao Yingshin comes up with a somewhat absurd idea. To fulfill a promise to her father (played by Luo Jiaying) who is suffering from dementia, Zhao Yingshin blackmails Tan Cheng into accompanying her father to watch videos every day.
