10-year-old elementary school student Ayako Kagawa (played by Riko Yoshida) yearns for the adult world. One night, she meets a mysterious mirror sprite (played by Teruyuki Kagawa) and receives a magical mirror that allows her to transform freely. Ayako cheers with joy, experiencing the professions she has longed for, such as figure skater, flight attendant, and policewoman. Unexpectedly, through an introduction by Naoto Hayase (played by Masaki Okada), whom she has met once before, she gets a job at the long-established Akizuka Cosmetics Company. Prior to this, Hayase's creative ideas had been continuously rejected by Executive Tsuji of Atami (played by Shosuke Tanihara). Feeling disheartened, the playful, cute, and somewhat naïve Ayako provides Hayase with much motivation and creativity. However, at this crucial moment, negative news regarding Akizuka floods in, and Ayako accidentally overhears a secret that concerns the company's fate... This film is based on the original work of the late Japanese manga artist Fujio Akatsuka.
