Bill (played by Esben Smed Jensen) arrives in Copenhagen with his dream of building the "Venice of the North." However, due to the absurdity of Bill's vision, he frequently encounters obstacles while seeking capital and soon finds himself destitute, relying on the support of a similarly underprivileged waitress. One day, Bill encounters a billionaire named Ivan (played by Benjamin Kitter), who is very interested in Bill's plan and decides to support him with his family's substantial financial resources. Throughout his time with Ivan, Bill falls in love with Ivan's sister Nanny (played by Julie Christiansen) and later with his sister Jacobi (played by Katrine Greis-Rosenthal), ultimately marrying Jacobi.
