In the 1990s in Algeria, 18-year-old university student Najima is passionate about fashion design. She refuses to let the Algerian civil war affect her normal life; during the day she is an ordinary student advocating for freedom and equality, while at night she enjoys outings with her friends. However, as society becomes increasingly conservative, she rejects the new prohibitions imposed by the country's radicals. After experiencing a tragedy, she decides to fight against the various inequalities in her country and organizes the first fashion show in Algerian history.
