Considered the pinnacle of the "Tora-san" series, featuring Asaoka Ruriko as Lily, the bar singer who makes her second appearance after Tora-san's Forget Me Not. Tora encounters the divorced Lily again, and their relationship rapidly blossoms, often seen holding hands while shopping. Just when everyone believes Tora and Lily are meant for each other and encourages them to marry, Tora firmly rejects the idea of marriage, believing that "Lily is a migratory bird—injured and resting at home, once healed, she spreads her wings and soars, unable to stay or settle—just like me." The original ancestor of the flightless birds is actually Tora-san! Considered the best film in the series, Tora-san Meets the Songstress Again marked the second appearance of Asaoka Ruriko as Lily, the club singer whom Tora encountered in Tora-san's Forget Me Not. Love seems to have blossomed between Tora and the now-divorced Lily, but contrary to the beliefs of friends and family, marriage is not on the minds of the lovers.
