Michael Curtiz was a renowned Hungarian-American film director. He directed over a hundred works in his lifetime, making him one of the most prolific directors in history. He was nominated five times for the Academy Award for Best Director for "Captain Blood" (1935), "The Adventures of Robin Hood" (1938), "Four Wives" (1938), "Victory Song" (1942), and "Casablanca" (1942), ultimately winning the award for "Casablanca." The film "Curtiz: The Man Behind Casablanca" is adapted from his real experiences during the filming of the classic "Casablanca," showcasing how, on the eve of World War II, Curtiz dealt with political interference while also managing his estranged relationship with his daughter.
