Plot summary: Based on the letters and speeches of a radical Jewish political leader from the early 20th century, it tells the story of Rosa Luxemburg (a prominent political activist and theorist of the international communist movement, leader of the left wing of the German Social Democratic Party and the Second International) and her tumultuous involvement with the German Social Democracy until her assassination in 1919.
