After being abandoned by his parents and adopted by Canadians to Vancouver, Wu Ke (played by Jinrong) accidentally kills the younger brother of gang leader Billy while standing up for a friend. After being released from prison, he is shot in the head by someone seeking revenge but miraculously survives. However, a bullet remains lodged in his head, leaving him with only six months to live. Wu Ke decides to return to China to find his biological parents before he dies, and he unexpectedly reunites with a girl named En Cai (played by Wenxin), whom he briefly met in Vancouver.
