The National Theatre Live presents a production of "Coriolanus" from the Donmar Warehouse. This tragic Shakespearean tale of political manipulation and vengeance stars Tom Hiddleston ("The Avengers", "War Horse", BBC's four-part Shakespeare collection "The Hollow Crown"). Additionally, Mark Gatiss (from the National Theatre's "A Christmas Carol" and BBC series "Sherlock") plays Menenius, directed by Josie Rourke, the artistic director of the Donmar Warehouse. When former enemies threaten Rome, the city once again calls for its hero and protector, Coriolanus, but he has also made enemies at home. Famine threatens the city, and the citizens' hunger swells into a desire for change. Returning from the battlefield, Coriolanus must confront the struggles of realpolitik and the voices of an enraged populace.
