Ah Chuan (played by Chang Hsiao-Chuan) is a very gentle man. One day, while at work, he suddenly faints; however, after a medical examination, no physical abnormalities are found. The doctor diagnoses him with a potential mental illness. Ah Chuan returns to his hometown to recover, where his father, Uncle Wang (played by Wang Yu), and sister, Xiao Yun (played by Huang Hsiang-Chi), live. What Uncle Wang did not expect was that Ah Chuan would actually kill Xiao Yun. Uncle Wang locks Ah Chuan in a small room and handles his daughter's body alone. Xiao Yun's husband, who hasn't seen her for a long time, comes looking for her. Just as he is about to find Ah Chuan's hiding place, Uncle Wang kills him. The disappearance of both Xiao Yun and her husband draws the attention of the police. Two officers lock up Uncle Wang and approach the small house where Ah Chuan is hiding, but they are instead killed by Ah Chuan. To cover up his son's crimes, Uncle Wang takes the blame for everything.
