Xu Huai-gu (played by Xu Guanwun) is a professional fortune teller, but in reality, he merely gathers information about his clients in advance and utilizes their psychology, earning him the title of "Divine Calculator." The wife of the tax bureau director suspects her husband of infidelity and comes to consult him, surprisingly allowing Xu Huai-gu to guess the name of the suspected mistress. After being scolded by his wife, the director decides to send tax assessor Qiu Hao-ji (played by Leon Lai) to investigate Xu Huai-gu's income. During the investigation, Xu, having sustained a head injury, gains superpowers, enabling him to see others' futures when he makes contact with them.
