In the 1960s, the greatest secret agent, Austin (played by Mike Myers), repeatedly defeats the "Evil Doctor" (also played by Mike Myers) and saves the world as a superhero. The Evil Doctor freezes himself in outer space, hoping to return for another battle. Austin follows suit and freezes himself as well. Thirty years later, the U.S. Space Agency discovers an unidentified flying object heading towards Earth. The Evil Doctor has returned. The U.S. Secret Agency quickly thaws Austin, placing all their hopes of defeating evil on him. However, the changes over the past 30 years leave this agent unprepared. Advances in technology and shifts in trends turn Austin's actions into a joke. His beautiful assistant Vanessa Kensington (played by Elizabeth Hurley) steps in to help Austin complete his mission, but unknowingly complicates matters further.
