Miramax and Broad Green Pictures have announced that they will produce a sequel to the 2003 comedy "Bad Santa," with original star Billy Bob Thornton returning. The original "Bad Santa" tells the story of a thief who poses as Santa Claus in a shopping mall to commit theft. Unlike the traditional image of Santa Claus, Billy Bob Thornton's portrayal is a chain-smoking, hard-drinking character with a cynical worldview, which actually feels quite refreshing. The film was a dark horse at the box office when it was released.
