"Battle of the Dance," also known as "Street Dance 3D," is hailed as the first 3D film from the UK. The vibrant dancer Carly (played by Nichola Burley) is at the peak of her life, with a charming boyfriend Jay. Together, they are part of a dance crew that has just entered the UK street dance championship finals. However, at this critical moment, Jay suddenly abandons Carly and the crew. The harsh reality not only breaks Carly's heart but also jeopardizes the dreams of her fellow dancers. Helena (played by Charlotte Rampling), the principal of a ballet school, is touched by Carly and her crew's talent and passion, and offers to help. They can practice in the luxurious dance studios of the ballet academy, but must train alongside ballet dancers to gain access to the free practice space. Noble ballet and grassroots street dance, two seemingly unrelated and even opposing forms of dance, come together. As ballet and street dance clash head-on, conflicts arise. Will Carly's dream of winning the championship ultimately come true?
