Ai (played by Aoi Miyazaki), who has fallen into a life of debauchery, is brought back to a seaside town by her father (played by Ken Watanabe) and encounters the taciturn Tetsuya (played by Kenichi Matsuyama). Yuma (played by Satoshi Tsumabuki), a gay man working in Tokyo, brings the tender-hearted Naoto (played by Masaki Aiba) home, struggling between disbelief and the attempt to trust. Koizumi (played by Suzu Hirose), who moves to Okinawa with her mother, follows her classmate Tatsumi (played by Takanori Iwata) to a deserted island and meets the backpacker Tanaka (played by Mirai Moriyama) among the ruins; they briefly become friends before a terrifying fate suddenly befalls Koizumi. Soon after, wanted posters spread across the country, raising suspicion about the true identities of the three men…The film is adapted from Shuichi Yoshida's novel of the same name.
