Yu Yeren (played by Fuqi) is a broke and unemployed university graduate, with not a penny in his pocket, unable to pay his rent. The landlady is very dissatisfied with Yu Yeren and forbids her foster daughter A Zhen (played by Le Di) from associating with him.
