Jonathan (played by Andrew McCarthy) claims to be an artist, but in the eyes of others, he is just a lazy and broke kid who has never completed a decent piece of work or held a formal job. By chance, Jonathan creates a body model based on the image of a beautiful woman, and the model's stunning beauty and perfection greatly exceed his expectations. He considers it to be his only successful work and even falls deeply in love with the figure he has created. What shocks Jonathan is that the story of "Pygmalion's ivory maiden" comes true; the model comes to life and is a woman from the future named Emma (played by Kim Cattrall). The resurrection of the model brings great joy to Jonathan, but at the same time, troubles begin to arise.
