Promising new director Toshio Murai (played by Yuuri Yanagi) is devoted to preparing for his first directorial work. In Studio 8, the film set is ready, and actresses Hitomi Kurokawa (played by Yasuyo Shiraishi) and newcomer Saori Murakami (played by Kei Ishibashi) are doing auditions and rehearsals. One night, the staff is watching the audition tapes in the screening room when suddenly the images overlap, revealing a completely different scene. In what appears to be an old film, there is a female actress, but faintly in the background, another woman can be seen standing there. Initially thought to be leftover unusable film, it seems to actually be remnants from an unfinished movie; Murai is particularly concerned about this as he recalls seeing it on television during his childhood...
