In the early 1990s, the Japanese government secretly conducted human evolution experiments. They injected genes from animals or insects into two groups of experimental children in various ways to grant them extraordinary abilities. In contrast, these children had to face the doom of their bodies collapsing in adulthood. Twenty years later, Iizaki Subaru (played by Masaki Okada) and Saya (played by Riko Narumi), Wataru (played by Shunya Shiraishi), Ryuji (played by Toshiki Seto), and Ryosuke (played by Shunya Shimizu) become tools of politician Tomose (played by Goshi Ihara), engaging in work that cannot be disclosed to the public. Soon after, the Butterfly Group, led by Manabu (played by Shota Sometani), Shizuka (played by Ayaka Takatsuki), So (played by Nobuyuki Suzuki), Hideo (played by Shuntaro Yanagi), Ao (played by Yuna Kuroshima), and Momo (played by Mayo Matsuoka), seeks revenge on those who created their unjust fate.
