Gabra Ray (played by Christina Milian) has just ended a failed relationship, having been the one dumped. To make matters worse, her design company in San Francisco has closed down due to poor management. With both her career and love life in shambles, GabraRay turns to alcohol to cope with her inner turmoil. In a twist of fate, GabraRay enters a lottery and unexpectedly wins ownership of a hotel in the New Zealand countryside. After flying thousands of kilometers, GabraRay finally arrives at her new hotel, only to be thoroughly disappointed by the rundown building. Thus, she decides to partner with a New Zealand contractor named Jack (played by Adam Demos) to renovate and sell the hotel, encountering many comical surprises along the way.
