In 1979, Yoon Seo-eun (played by Kim Ha-na) is a third-year student in the English department at Silla University, and she has a long-standing crush on her senior, Dong-hee (played by Park Young-woo). She yearns for a beautiful life, but Dong-hee likes another student. One day, Seo-eun accidentally discovers an old intercom. One night, the intercom suddenly transmits a call from another boy. Surprised, Seo-eun begins to communicate with him. Through their conversations, she learns that the boy is also a student at Silla University, named Ji-in (played by Yoo Ji-tae).
