A deli owner, Jasper, who is deaf and mute, has long been coerced by the gang to dispose of bodies in addition to running his own business. Jasper's friend Sully (played by Ethan Hawke), a sanitation worker about to become a father, has always felt insecure about his IQ. In order to provide a better life for his girlfriend and to participate in an embryo experiment to ensure their unborn child has a higher IQ, he is willing to do anything. The three of them all live on Staten Island, and their different life paths intertwine in the shadow of Manhattan... This film is produced by the legendary director Luc Besson.
