At the convenience store in front of Mahoro Station, two down-and-out friends, Tada Keisuke (Eita) and Yukitokun Haruhiko (Matsuda Ryuhei), have been struggling through their third year of poverty. Recently, Tada has been sneaking around behind Yukitokun’s back, seemingly hiding something. It turns out that Yukitokun had a wife before, and they conceived a daughter, Koharu (Iwasaki Mirai), through artificial insemination. Now that his ex-wife is about to go to America, she plans to temporarily leave Koharu with Tada. However, Yukitokun has an extreme dislike for children due to past events, which puts Tada in a difficult position. Meanwhile, a suspicious group selling organic vegetables has appeared on the streets, and its leader, Kobayashi (Nagasawa Masatoshi), happens to be a member of a now-dissolved new religion. A yakuza member, Hoshi Ryouichi (Takara Kengo), approaches the duo at the convenience store, asking them to investigate the truth of the vegetables the organization claims to sell. Soon after, Yukitokun and Koharu unexpectedly get caught up in a bus hijacking incident… This film is adapted from the original work by Miura Shion.
