Investment bank manager Derek Lee (played by Huang Lihang) is busy acquiring a lithium mining company, while his ex-girlfriend Amy Liang (played by Xu Jinglei) arrives in Hong Kong as a financial advisor for the same company in her role as deputy general manager at another investment bank. The two former lovers are about to face off in the workplace. Derek's capable assistant Rebecca (played by Gigi Leung) attempts to persuade Amy to step back as a friend, while popular finance blogger Henry (played by Li Zhiting) discovers the past between Derek and Amy. It turns out that Amy broke up with Derek out of resentment for his busy career that left her little time for companionship, but soon she also joined the investment banking field at Derek's arrangement. Derek and Amy coincidentally meet on a flight to London, and in order to succeed in the acquisition, they engage in a series of conflicts. As events unfold, the relationship between these intimate enemies changes once again...
