NJ (Wu Nian-Zhen) is a principled businessman living in an ordinary apartment in Taipei with his wife Min-Min (Jin Yan-Ling), daughter Ting-Ting (Li Kai-Li), son Yang-Yang (Zhang Yang-Yang), and grandmother. After a troublesome wedding for his brother-in-law, his life becomes even more chaotic when his grandmother suddenly suffers a stroke and falls into a coma. Min-Min often runs between her company and home, feeling like she’s being drained; Ting-Ting feels guilty about her grandmother's stroke and realizes she is just a substitute in her love life; NJ faces mounting troubles as his company is on the verge of bankruptcy and he refuses to give up the worthless pride others see in him. Among the family, it seems only Yang-Yang is carefree, calmly photographing the backs of different people, helping them grow another pair of eyes, yet a simple statement from Yang-Yang reveals a deeper sadness.
