This is a film that authentically reflects the life of penguins. The climate in the northern part of Antarctica is mild, with ample food; the southern part, however, is covered in snow year-round, with a cold climate and food shortages. But the south has its advantages, as the ecosystem here is stable and free from predators. In order for the penguin chicks to grow up healthy, penguin parents travel each year from the north to the south to incubate the eggs. The penguin father and mother take turns incubating the eggs, while the other travels great distances to search for food. The hardships of the journey are difficult for anyone to bear, yet the delicate penguins carry out this arduous task year after year. The film showcases a tenacious vitality that is thought-provoking.
