At first, netizens scoff at him, but to their surprise, The Newspaper Man actually takes action. His actions ignite the long-repressed sense of justice in people's hearts, and he gains an increasing number of followers. In fact, The Newspaper Man is not just one person; he is made up of four individuals: Hiroaki Okita, a.k.a. "Gates" (played by Toma Ikuta), Tomohiko Kasai, a.k.a. "Kansai" (played by Ryohei Suzuki), Koichi Kimura, a.k.a. "Nobita" (played by Gaku Hamada), and Shinichi Terahara, a.k.a. "Fatty" (played by Ryo Rikiishi). These four, hailing from different backgrounds, have fallen to the lowest depths of society. They have witnessed the cruelest aspects of humanity far away from the city's hustle and bustle and have forged an unbreakable bond of friendship. They join forces to hold a public trial against the world, while police officer Erika Yoshino from the Cyber Crime Unit (played by Erika Toda) works tirelessly to uncover the stories behind these men... This film is adapted from Tetsuya Tsutsui's manga.
