In Seoul's financial industry, single woman Jeong Hae-won (played by Ji Seong-won) naturally bears tremendous pressure from all sides, and her emotions become increasingly tense, eventually forcing her to take a leave of absence. During her vacation, Hae-won returns to her long-lost hometown, Udo. The scenery here is beautiful, and the local culture is rough and even somewhat barbaric, with severe gender inequality still prevalent. Hae-won reunites with her childhood friend Kim Buk-nam (played by Seo Young-hee), a gentle and cheerful woman who is devoted but is treated like livestock by her husband and family, suffering bullying and humiliation. Buk-nam hopes for a better life for her daughter, Xiao Yan, but in this wild place, human dignity is trampled on at will. Under significant pressure, the submissive Buk-nam transforms into a tragic revenge queen... This film is the feature debut of Zhang Zhe-xiu, the assistant director of renowned Korean filmmaker Kim Ki-duk.
