"Thaw," starring Jo Jin-woong, Kim Da-mi, and Shin Joo-hwan, began filming on July 20 at the Nanyangzhou Comprehensive Film Studio. The film is produced by With Us Film, the company behind "The Attorney," and distributed by Lotte. This psychological thriller tells the story of the frozen Han River slowly melting, revealing a headless female corpse rising to the surface, while the secrets of a serial killer are gradually uncovered. Jo Jin-woong plays the role of Seong-hoon, an internist who runs a hospital in Gangnam but goes bankrupt. He later takes a job at a senior's hospital but becomes embroiled in the secrets of the serial killing cases. After filming his first scene, Jo said, "It should be a very interesting thriller. Today is the first day of filming for 'Thaw', and I'm very excited and nervous. I hope we can make this film step by step." Kim Da-mi and Shin Joo-hwan play the father-son duo of Cheong-geun and Mr. Jeong, who are the landlords of Seong-hoon's new studio apartment and also run a butcher shop. They are suspected by Seong-hoon due to their connection to the secrets regarding the serial killer. Song Young-chang appears as a character that constantly appears before Seong-hoon, asking questions related to the serial killer, while Lee Cheong-eo plays Mi-yeon, an internist nurse who is always around Seong-hoon. The film is directed by Lee Su-yeon, known for "Four-Member Table," and is expected to be released in the first half of next year.
