In a quiet hospital, a man in his fifties is confessing to the police about the crimes in his diary. The old man's name is Kim Byung-soo (played by Sol Kyung-gu), and his dark childhood experiences have twisted his character. After he personally killed his beastly father, life seemed to take a turn for the better, which strengthened his resolve to eliminate those wicked individuals. Over the long years that followed, Kim became a serial killer, until an incident 17 years later forced him to retire and live as a veterinarian. However, as he aged, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. During this period, a series of bodies are discovered by the police, and the methods of the crimes are strikingly similar to those of Kim in his past. Terrified, Kim worries that he might revert to his old ways during moments of forgetfulness, so he attempts to write a diary to record the cases he has committed and his recent actions. One day, he encounters a peculiar young police officer, Min Tae-joo (played by Kim Nam-gil). From him, Kim senses a dangerous similarity...
