In the international metropolis of Tokyo, Japan, a robbery of an extremely heinous nature occurs in broad daylight. A mysterious traffic accident happens at an intersection, and the Scientific Investigation Team (ST) quickly uncovers the mastermind behind the incident—genius hacker Tetsuki Terumaki (played by Yusuke Nakayama). However, ST leader Samon Akagi (played by Takuya Fujiwara) is evasive when confronted with allegations against Terumaki. He sends away Yurikane Tomohisa (played by Masaki Okada) and goes alone to Terumaki's residence. Soon after, Terumaki meets a fiery demise, and Akagi is captured as a key suspect by his colleagues.
