After going through numerous trials, Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) becomes a revered hero and wins the heart of his beloved. However, beneath the spotlight, Spider-Man has his own demons: he let a thief go in the first installment, resulting in his beloved uncle being killed by that thief, a burden that Parker has carried. As life begins to go smoothly for Parker, he starts to become arrogant. When he captures that thief again, he cruelly watches him fall to his death from a building, only to later realize he punished the wrong person; the true villain is the "Sandman." After Parker brutally kills the "Sandman," the darkness within him gradually takes control, leading Spider-Man to transform into the evil "Venom"! The problem is, Parker is unaware of his own transformation. How will Parker ultimately rid himself of this evil?
