Thomas (Dylan O'Brien)、Minho (Ki Hong Lee) and his friends are taken to a mysterious shelter, run by the inconsistent Janson (Aidan Gillen), who provides them with a stable and comfortable environment, ordering the Gladers to undergo a series of tests in a medical laboratory. Janson assures Thomas that he will take them to a safer sanctuary to live with other young people who are immune to the "Flare Virus." Sensing something is amiss, Thomas decides to lead his companions to escape Janson's control, but what awaits them is a scorched earth even more dangerous than the maze. The film is adapted from the second book in the dystopian sci-fi trilogy written by James Dashner.
