In 2028, the arms-developing robotics company Omni Corp. produced a large number of well-equipped RoboCops, which were deployed in peacekeeping and crime-fighting operations, achieving significant results. In the crime-ridden city of Detroit, the justice-driven and righteous police officer Alex Murphy (played by Joel Kinnaman) was ambushed by enemies and suffered devastating injuries.
