The story follows a woman named Faye, who attempts to replace her deceased husband Evan with a simulation robot for companionship. Although the robot resembles human Evan in every way, Faye does not feel the same love and wants to deactivate robot Evan. Robot Evan tries to win back Faye's heart, but the situation becomes increasingly complicated under the manipulation of engineer Casey. Meanwhile, government agent Kessler investigates recent issues with robot malfunctions and escapes, as these robots are gradually becoming self-aware and could pose a potential threat to humans, requiring timely control. Former AICE engineer Casey secretly modifies the bionic's "system patch" to break the four laws governing robots and "release freedom." A silent battle between robots and humans unfolds. This morally conflicting war eventually reaches a resolution. Kessler stops Casey's plan and successfully destroys the uncontrollable robots.
