The male protagonist Liam (Jack Huston) was originally a painter eager to succeed in the art world. However, a strange mistake led to him being wrongly declared dead by the police. This error unexpectedly caused the value of his works to soar, making him a sought-after artist overnight, achieving the fame and honor he had always dreamed of. To continue hiding the truth that he is still alive, Liam decides to assume his brother's identity to deceive the outside world. This decision is both to protect his artistic career and to maintain the reputation and status he has gained. However, the arrival of a journalist (Brit Marling) changes his life. As the female journalist gets involved, the two begin to exchange their understandings of life's truths, art, and love. This interaction deepens gradually, prompting Liam to reevaluate his life and values.
