Alex (Vincent Perez) is about to get married. In his view, going to bed means the end of love. This is due to the shadow cast by his childhood experience of seeing his mother constantly change partners. When he sees the enchanting dancer Fangfang (Sophie Marceau), a flame of true love ignites in his heart. Alex decides to pursue Fangfang, but without involving lust. Fangfang also falls in love with Alex; however, Alex's approach is entirely platonic, which greatly troubles Fangfang. To get closer to her, Alex moves in next door and installs a one-way mirror to observe Fangfang's daily life. He watches her change into her dance costume, lift her dance steps, and make various playful expressions, yet lacks the courage to break the boundary between them. This mirror becomes a wall in Alex’s heart. How much longer must they wait for their love to come to fruition? Fangfang eventually discovers Alex's secret; can Alex resolve his emotional knots?
