Eleven-year-old girl Nemo (Jason Momoa) lives a simple life with her father Peter (Kyle Chandler). However, a tsunami takes her father's life. Heartbroken, Nemo wishes to continue staying at the isolated lighthouse where she lived with her father for many years, but as a child, she cannot decide her fate and is placed under the care of her uncle Philip (Chris O'Dowd). Philip lives in a bustling metropolis and enjoys a comfortable life. The warm and cozy bed cannot provide a sense of belonging, and in her dreams, Nemo is taken out of her room by a bed with long legs, floating all the way back to the lighthouse. She doesn't see her father at home, but encounters a monster named Flipp (Jason Momoa), who has horns and is covered in fur. Flipp tells the girl that if she finds the legendary treasure map, she can fulfill her heart's wishes. This film is adapted from Winsor McCay's Sunday comic strip series "Little Nemo in Slumberland."
