Nick (Jason Bateman) has been grinding at the company for eight years, working tirelessly from dawn till dusk, when his boss Dave (Kevin Spacey) suddenly goes back on his promise of a promotion and cruelly mocks him; Dale (Charlie Day) is a dental assistant who can no longer tolerate the blatant sexual harassment from his boss Julia (Jennifer Aniston); Kurt (Jason Sudeikis), initially viewed as the company's successor, finds himself in chaos when the boss suddenly dies and his son Bobby (Colin Farrell) takes over, arrogantly exercising his legacy's entitlement and threatening to ruin the company. The three frustrated friends have a drink together at a bar and come up with the wild idea to collectively get rid of their bosses, each avoiding suspicion by dealing with their own boss. After careful planning, the trio employs their quirky tactics, launching a comically chaotic "kill the boss" scheme...
