Dax (played by Lil Rel Howery) participates in a street basketball tournament at Rucker Park to fulfill his basketball dream. After losing to his opponent, Mookie, his luck spirals down until Dax meets the former streetball legend—Uncle Drew (played by Kyrie Irving), hoping to gain his assistance. Uncle Drew proposes to form his own team.
