The movie tells the story of Hao Shuai, who experiences a midlife crisis and suddenly learns that his 10-year-old son, Duo Duo, is not biologically related to him. He then takes Duo Duo on a "Western Child Exchange Journey," telling him that it is a "summer growth plan." On the train, Duo Duo feels betrayed after discovering his father's true intentions and runs away, arriving alone in the West, where he begins to enjoy a unique "wonderful time." Meanwhile, Hao Shuai regrets making a wrong turn and experiences a series of embarrassing events in his search for Duo Duo.
