Adapted from the bestselling book "The Question of God" by Dr. Armand M. Nicholi Jr. of Harvard University. The play tells the story of psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, who in his later years invited a relatively unknown young professor from England, C.S. Lewis, to his home in London. The two engage in research and discussion about Freud's recently published book, and as they converse, they increasingly connect and exchange their values on the existence of God, love, sex, and the meaning of life. However, at that time, the outbreak of World War II loomed, and as a Jewish man, Dr. Freud could no longer endure the dual blows of cancer and the loss of loved ones, ultimately passing away shortly afterward. This conversation became Freud's last valuable legacy to the world.
