Hiroki (played by Tamaki Hiroshi) is the son of a temple's chief priest, and he has a deep passion for photography, always carrying his camera around to capture moments. However, his mother, Toko (played by Fujita Ayako), wishes for him to focus more on his studies and not to waste time idly. Hiroki has a crush on a girl named Yuriko (played by Tomita Yasuko), who attends a neighboring girls' school. In his free time, Hiroki enjoys using a telescope to admire Yuriko playing the piano from afar. One day, a strange girl transfers to Hiroki's class, and an argument ensues between this girl and Toko at Hiroki's home. Strangely, when the girl is hurt, Toko also feels pain.
