Sura Sharma and Palavi Sharda ([Tom and Jerry]) will star in the new Netflix comedy film [Wedding Season]. Directed by Tom Dey ([Marmaduke]), with a screenplay by Shiwani Srivastava. The story follows Asha Maurya (played by Sharda), who, unable to escape the pressure from her immigrant parents to marry, teams up with bachelor Ravi Shah (also played by Sharda) to navigate the complications of their large South Asian families. The pair pretends to date to survive the summer wedding season, ultimately discovering they have fallen for each other. Filming is set to begin in Toronto in April.
